An important note about sweeteners!

Full disclosure… My favourite low-carb blood sugar-friendly option for replacing sugar is pure stevia powder. I like stevia because it comes from the stevia plant and is generally considered to be ‘natural’. And when it’s used sparingly, I like the taste.

BUT I know it’s not for everyone.

If you don’t like stevia, it’s OK! I’ve included options for using a variety of sweeteners in the ‘variations’ for each recipe. One of the best parts about pure stevia is the only function it provides is sweetness, so it’s relatively easy to substitute sweeteners just based on taste.
