Questions?

I prefer print books. Is ‘The Tired & Hungry Cook’s Companion’ available as a traditional book?

I’m afraid not. All my books are ebooks except for my two print books ‘And the Love is Free’ and ‘5 Ingredients 10 Minutes’.

What’s the difference between the Standard and Video versions?

Basically they’re exactly the same, except the video contains links to step-by-step videos for practically every recipe in the book. The videos show you EXACTLY what to look out for each step of the way. Both versions contain the same written instructions.

Does ‘The Tired & Hungry Cook’s Companion’ have vegetarian / vegan alternatives for the recipes?

Absolutely! I spent a month eating vegetarian so I know what it’s like. EVERY recipe in the book includes alternatives for vegetarians. Most also include a vegan option as well.

Will I find recipes that are easy to cook and take very little time?

Yes! All recipes are easy to make and most use 5 ingredients. They’re also quick. There’s a whole chapter of 5-minute recipes and most of the rest can be made in 15 minutes or less – although there are a few do-ahead recipes that will take much longer.

I thought you were based in Australia. Why are your prices in $US?

Great question! You’re right, I do live in Australia. However the majority of Stonesoup readers are based in North America which is why I’ve chosen to price in $USD. And until recently the exchange rate was pretty much 1:1.

My payment processor does convert to your local currency so you can avoid any overseas transaction fees. If you wish you’re free to choose to pay in another currency. I should also note for Australian customers the price is inclusive of GST.

Will I need to have a computer in my kitchen?

Definitely not, unless that’s what you’d like. It’s up to you whether you choose to print your recipes or download them onto your smart phone, ipad or tablet.

Will I be able to read the eCookbook on my ipad, tablet or smartphone?

Yes! The ebook is in pdf format. There are detailed instructions for saving to your ipad on the download page.

Is this really going to make a difference to my dinners?

The Tired & Hungry Cook’s Companion has already helped thousands of people completely change the way they think about and cook after work. I’m sure it can help you too – but you must be willing to step up and give it a try. The only way you’ll get results is to take action. Remember I’m here to help. And if it doesn’t work for you, I’ll be happy to give you your money back.

I’m not a confident / creative cook. Will I really be able to make these recipes?

If you’re willing to give them a try, absolutely! Most of the recipes have only 5 ingredients. I’ve made them as simple and easy to follow as possible. There is also the option of the video edition which includes a video for each recipe where I show you step-by-step exactly what to do and how it’s meant to look at every step. Again, you can always ask for a refund if you find it too difficult for you.

I have allergies. Will the recipes be suitable for me?

My Dad is allergic to dairy, wheat, eggs and peas so I have some experience with allergies. Each recipe comes with variations to suit the more common food allergies.

I have so many cookbooks that I don’t use…
Why should I buy another one?

I have a big cookbook collection as well. I know what it’s like. So let me ask you a few questions…

Do any of your cookbooks contain recipes with only 5 ingredients? Are they designed for quick and easy cooking or are they more about looking good?

Do they have a section devoted to 5-minute recipes? Can you make most of the remaining recipes in 15 minutes or less?

Do they come with a list of variations for every recipe?

Are any of them ebooks saved on your smartphone or tablet? Can you access them when you’re deciding what to cook – whether that’s at the office or in the supermarket?

The last thing I want is for The Tired & Hungry Cook’s Companion to be another cookbook you buy and then never look at again.

So I’m happy to give you 60 days to test drive it. If you find that you haven’t used it to cook anything, all you have to do is email me [jules@thestonesoup.com] and I’ll refund 100% of your money straight away. You have nothing to lose apart from a few minutes.

Do You Love Print Books?
Not Sure You’ll Use a Digital Product?

Here are 7 advantages of ebooks…

1. Always have these recipes at your fingertips. Save in multiple locations – work computer, home computer, smart phone and iPad.

2. Find exactly what you want (and fast!) with the search function. Got mushrooms in the fridge? A quick search and you’ll have all the mushroom recipes ready to choose from.

3. Save time and jump straight to your chosen page with the hyperlinks.

4. Be inspired by browsing the interactive index(es) by the seasons, different cuisines and recipe type.

5. All the benefits of Googling without the risk of recipes from untrusted sources.

6. Shows you EXACTLY what to look out for each step of the way. The video version includes step-by-step demonstrations for almost every recipe.

7. No need to wait or pay for shipping. Quick instant download.

The downside?
You won’t be able to admire an eCoobook on your bookshelves. And the pages won’t get dog-eared and stained with food, unless you print it out.

Remember: You can always try it and if you don’t like it, you have 60 days to ask for a refund…
